This sculpture honours the feminine creative principle, a subject that continues to shape my artistic exploration. The unfolding flower represents the generative energy at the heart of life—an energy that commands deep respect. As an artist, integrating both masculine and feminine influences is essential to my practice. In recognition of its expressive strength, this work received the Mt Coot tha Botanic Gardens Outdoor Sculpture Prize in 2022.
